Strawberry Picking 2016

While the strawberries were ripe, Stephanie and I took the kids to Platte City to pick strawberries!  It's always such a fun experience for these city kids to get experiences in the country!

They were pretty dirty afterwards,
but mostly these two just like to play in the water together!

Since Hattie didn't get to come with us to pick strawberries, we made sure she got to enjoy them!  Yummy!

Family Camping Fun!

We just finished up our 2016 camping season.  And let me tell you, it was a blast!  As all of you know by now, Pomme is our happy place.  It's one of the only times our family is able to completely be together.  No distractions, no work, no school, very little TV and electronics, just us.  Together.  With lots and lots of opportunity for adventure!  It's the best!

Last year, we cut our camping season short because I was too pregnant to travel too far from home.  We got to take Hattie on her first trip as a one month old, but to be honest, trips with tiny babies are tough.  And her first one was no exception.  This summer, however, was better.  There were still challenges, like pumping on a schedule, planning around Hattie's naps, and keeping us all cool when it's too hot for a baby!  But beyond that, Hattie was perfectly content to just be with us!

Because Tysie went to heaven in September, these pictures of our Beba Dog are super special!  Tysie loved the lake as much as we do and we miss her terribly when we go without her.  We always say that she's up in heaven chasing geese... one of her favorite lake adventures!

When I look back through all these pictures, I'm just grateful that we can experience all of these things together.  My time with these sweet girls is so short and I love that we can make these memories for them and for me!
