On Saturday, the girls and I were eating lunch and Gracie was having one of her favorite fruits... a Granny Smith apple when she got her first loose tooth! She prefers to eat apples whole, rather than sliced up. So as she was taking a bite with her bottom teeth, the apple must've pulled her tooth outward. It was bleeding and Gracie was pretty upset about the whole incident. As the day progressed, she continued to talk about how nervous she was about losing a tooth. It was kind of funny because she's been dying to loose a tooth for months now, but once it was upon her, she was freaking out. Just a few short hours later, on Saturday night, Gracie was drinking a strawberry lemon smoothie through a straw and out came the tooth! It didn't hurt at all when it came out and she was very proud of herself. She was also excited to see what the tooth fairy might bring! As it turns out, we left her tooth in a jar of water next to the sink and in the morning, the tooth fairy left a $20 bill under the jar and $2 in change inside the jar. It was odd though, the water had turned blue and there was glitter mixed in... so fun!
